sitting on good ideas

For their Diploma project in textile design at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee, LUM! (Lisa Spengler and Moa Hallgren) are working on their object-project REMÖTIL at the moment. From donated and found old clothes and thrown away furniture from Berlin’s streets, they are creating a furniture-object collection. The used textiles and collected fragments are getting back to function and a new life by using handcraft techniques. LUM! are fascinated by the principle to be inspired by used things with a personal history and to give the waste a new value.

For the BerliNordik “bright green design” exhibition, they used the recycling principle of their diploma to create a textile chair collection.
